Rocksmith 2014 - What's New?

The new Rocksmith game has been entirely redesigned from the ground up to keep all the good stuff about the original Rocksmith whilst making the game clearer, smoother and super fast. Spend more time playing your guitar than ever before instead of navigating through any complicated menus thanks to the newly streamlined interfaces. The in-game processes have been redesigned to give you even better feedback on your performance as you play meaning you'll get better, quicker.

Riff Repeater and Master Mode

Riff Repeater is new and improved! A useful tool to help you nail those tricky solos, you can now use Riff Repeater on-the-fly whenever you want quickly choosing your section, difficulty and speed, meaning you are in full control of your own practice. Rocksmith creators also listend to feedback and altered Master Mode to a more approachable way to learn songs from memory.

50 New Tracks

Rocksmith 2014 includes over 50 new songs to keep playing your guitar fresh and exciting. The tracks span the range from classic rock, alternative rock, metal and more. You also get instant access to over 150 downloadable tracks from the Playstation Store to update and refresh your library. Rocksmith 2014 now also supports tons of extra tunings, effects, amps and tones meaning you can explore a whole new range of songs and styles.

80 More Lessons and Instructional Videos

80 additional lessons and instructional videos have been built into the Rocksmith 2 game to ensure your skills are constantly being developed and perfected. Guitarcade is back with fun games designed to improve key guitar skills such as dexterity, speed and music knowledge.

Revolutionary Session Mode

The biggest thing about Rocksmith 2014 Edition has to be the new revolutionary Session Mode - a framework which allows you to jam realistically with a virtual band who will follow your every move. Nothing improves your playing like jamming with a real band and this is the next best thing! Noone is the music industry has experienced technology quite like this before.

Rocksmith's Session Mode can be used very early on in the game too so don't worry about having to be an expert to appreciate it. A helpful onscreen guide shows you what key you are playing in and suggests some guide notes. This tool is ideal for preparing you to take your new skills and join that first band!

Classic Style and Versatile Sound

This Los Angeles is an affordable way for beginners to capture the vibe of some of music's most respected guitar greats. The sleek, double cutaway body and sparkling tones of its three single coil pickups are inspired by some of the most legendary guitars in the history of music.

Capable of producing anything from deep rock crunch, through jangly blues to sparkling highs, the LA can be used for both rhythm and lead at the flip of a switch. A 5 way selector gives access to the wealth of guitar sounds the ST has to offer - tones for everything from rock, blues and funk to jazz. Single coil pickups are known for their bright, sharp and clear ring with the neck pickup producing a mellow but full twang and the bridge position giving you a clean, acoustic-like ring.

Easy Playing Neck, Comfortable Body

The solid, contoured body of the LA guitar makes it comfortable to play. With a body crafted from Paulownia wood, this instrument is lightweight and easy to handle. The pink finish is matched with a white 3-ply pickguard and chrome hardware that complements this guitar's classic design.

The LA's full size, 22 fret neck combines a Maple back with a Rosewood fingerboard. The smooth Maple allows comfortable, quick and easy movement along the neck for those faster licks whilst the guitar's double cutaway design lets you rip through blistering solos with easier access to the higher frets. The dark Rosewood fingerboard adds a mellow depth and warmth to the guitar's sound with plenty of sustain.

If dive bombing or blues vibrato are your thing the LA is equipped with a vintage 6-point tremolo. If you prefer things a little more mellow, the tremolo arm is removable and can simply be attached when needed. The guitar also features a volume control and two tone dials, all of which sit within easy reach for quick adjustments during a gig.
