The Theo Wanne Fire 2 Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece is a lively and vibrant mouthpiece, perfect for energetic genres like R&B, Big Band, and Rock and Roll. Boasting a unique small chamber, flat side walls, and a long step baffle, the Fire 2 offers bright tones and incredible levels of projection. As the name suggests, this mouthpiece gives you a red-hot sound, for scorching solos and blazing lead lines. The updated design features a new body size and shape, allowing compatibility with a wider range of third-party ligatures.


The size-six mouthpiece has a tip opening of 0.086" - a little on the wider side. This will make it easier for you to bend notes and add inflections, and give you a bigger overall sound - perfect for expressive soloists and lead players. The 24k gold-plated construction gives the mouthpiece rich and vibrant overtones, whilst the unique chamber shape provides a strong core to the sound. This mouthpiece comes included with a matching Theo Wanne ligature, mouthpiece cap, and a protective mouthpiece pouch.

ELEMENTS series

For years, Theo Wanne refused to make anything other than the best mouthpieces money could buy - but they came with a big price tag. Realising that many musicians couldn't afford to use his mouthpieces, Theo resolved to produce a line of mouthpieces that met his perfectionist's standards - at a price that everyone could afford. This became the mantra of the ELEMENTs mouthpiece series.

About Theo Wanne

Theo Wanne is a modern expert on new and vintage woodwind mouthpiece design. Theo worked as a saxophone repair technician under the direction of master refacer Bob Carpenter - a pioneer of mouthpiece refacing and repairs. Theo soon gained a reputation within the saxophone world, and in 1998 opened Saxophone Mouthpiece Heaven - his own online music store and knowledge database.

In 2007, Theo started to design and manufacture his own line of mouthpieces en masse, working with famous musicians such as Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, and Eric Alexander. Theo is constantly studying and innovating his designs, ensuring his mouthpieces allow musicians to create their best tone - as easily as possible. Theo Wanne now has a reputation for crafting some of the best saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces, using the world's most advanced manufacturing techniques.

The Theo Wanne Fire 2 comes included with a matching two-rail, single-screw Theo Wanne ligature. Also included is a Reed Replacer Cap - an incredibly secure mouthpiece cap which offers unmatched protection to the tip of your mouthpiece.
