The SubZero Single Channel Microphone Booster is a compact gain solution for stage and studio microphone setups. Providing up to 25dB of extra gain, it gives low-output microphones a stronger signal before they reach your mixer, soundcard, or other connected equipment. This makes it useful when your microphone needs more level without relying solely on the gain available from your existing setup.
The active design runs on 48V phantom power supplied by your connected equipment, so there?s no separate power supply to add to your setup. Balanced XLR input and output connections keep integration simple; connect your microphone to the input, then route the output to compatible equipment providing phantom power. A 10Hz to 20kHz frequency response (±1dB) supports a broad range of microphone signals.

The SubZero Microphone Booster provides up to 25dB of gain, helping you increase that signal at the start of the chain. This makes it suited to both stage and studio applications where your microphone needs an additional boost. With a maximum output level of +10dBu into a 10kΩ load, it provides a straightforward way to add gain between your microphone and compatible audio equipment.
The active circuit requires 48V phantom power, supplied through compatible equipment connected to the booster's output. That means you can use the phantom power available from a suitable mixing desk, soundcard, or other device rather than adding a separate power supply. Your microphone connects to the MIC IN socket, while the OUTPUT routes the boosted signal onwards. Both connections use balanced XLR sockets, keeping the signal path simple and familiar for stage and recording setups.
A 10Hz to 20kHz frequency response, measured within ±1dB, allows the booster to handle a broad frequency range. Its THD + N specification is below 0.02% at 1kHz and 0dBu, while the EIN noise specification at +25dB gain is greater than 120dB across 22Hz to 22kHz, unweighted. These specifications give you clear information about how the booster performs when adding level, helping you make an informed choice when matching it with your microphone and the rest of your signal chain.
At 120mm x 47mm x 48mm and weighing 0.143kg, the booster adds little bulk to a stage or studio setup. The balanced XLR input has a 7kΩ impedance and accepts a maximum input level of -15dBu, while the balanced output has a 2kΩ impedance.
