Simplifying the complicated world of dynamics processing, pure:comp uses intelligent, AI-powered algorithms, unique learning features and input profiles to produce balanced and professional compression parameters. The automatic parametrization takes place in only three simple steps, making it the quickest, most effective and most accurate compression tool available, you won't need any other compressors in your arsenal again!

The first stage is the profiling stage, where pure:comp analyses your incoming signal. Here, you can set pure:comp to a profile which most accurately corresponds to your incoming signal, choosing a genre or instrument. Once analysed, pure:comp will listen to your signal and accurately pick out the dynamics of your music with unrivalled detail. Once playback is finished, pure:comp will automatically adjust parameters to best suit the production aesthetic for your music, as simple as one, two, three!

Nail your sound with Style and Clarity

While pure:comp is an AI-powered, automated compression plug-in, it includes two very effective sound-shaping tools: Style and Clarity. Toggle through the Clean, Mixed and Dirty Styles and determine the character of your compressor. The Clean Style offers a highly-transparent sound, with natural dynamic taming and should be used on instrument groups or entire mixes for a smooth tone without unwanted pumping effects. Ramping things up, Dirty Style delivers that classic EDM pump, making it ideal for transient-heavy instruments including drums or 808s. Using the Mixed Style will sit somewhere between Dirty and Clean, offering a balance that suits most audio materials to balance the dynamics without imprinting too much colour.

Adjusting the Clarity parameter alters the transparency of your compression processing. Increasing the Clarity will smooth tonal imbalances, creating a harmonically and spectrally balanced sound, along with a dynamically balanced output.

You can modify the compression of the AI-powered processing by simply using the single Compression Strength parameter – this control combines all the general compression parameters such as threshold, ratio, attack and release.

Arguably the first thing you will reach for in any session for just about any instrument, pure:comp can replace virtually all of your existing compressor plug-ins. Powerful enough to be used on individual instruments, removing the muddiness from a kick drum or adding density to your vocals, meanwhile being transparent enough to offer a light touch on an entire mix or instrument bus for subtle glueing effects. Shaping the dynamics of your music with pure:comp is made incredibly simple, with all of the work done for you, enabling you to focus on your creativity in you or your client's music.

Simple control over your settings

Additional switches are provided inside of the settings of pure:comp which gives you key control over the gain staging of your compression. An internal Soft Clipping circuit has been implemented and can be used to ensure your signal does not exceed 0dB, helping to avoid unwanted digital clipping and distortion which can cause unwanted artefacts. If you're using any limiting plug-ins or hardware in your chain, this can simply be disabled.

Advanced gain staging is provided with the Auto-Gain feature. This can be enabled inside of pure:comp's settings, automatically activating Auto-Gain after the plug-in learns and analysis your audio source. Ideal for maintaining a consistent level and compensating your output gain for any changes in level caused by compression, pure:comp lets you analyse the difference in sound, not the difference in level.
