AudioThing Reels is a versatile reel-to-reel and tape emulation plugin, with a design based around a vintage Japanese tape recorder known for its distinctive lo-fi sound. Reels combines multiple analog elements into one powerful plugin, meticulously recreating the analog imperfections that made the original gear so sought after. Featuring three different tape settings, you can choose between each unique tape type to capture the sound you want.

Recreating the imperfections of reel-to-reel vintage recorders, Reels incorporates all the elements that contributed to the now-iconic sound of this classic gear. Whether you want to add a little saturation or take things to the extreme, Reels provides you with all the tools you need. Harshness, Wow/Flutter, Ducking, Hiss, Motor and Crosstalk parameters allow you to dial in your desired effect with maximum precision.

You can also replicate the sound of the tape starting/stopping on a reel-to-reel player - great for transitions and intro/outros.
