The Music Man Luke 4, Butane Blue is a Steve Lukather-inspired HSS electric guitar combining Music Man HT pickups with versatile switching and an adjustable gain boost. Its alder body is finished in high-gloss polyester, while the HSS pickup configuration provides powerful output. A five-way pickup selector expands your tonal choices, and the push-push volume control activates a preamp boost factory set to 12 dB for extra punch when required. It's a versatile instrument designed to be played.
A figured roasted maple neck with a soft V profile provides a comfortable playing feel, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and 22 low-profile, wide nickel frets. The Music Man floating vintage tremolo uses chrome-plated hardened steel with bent steel saddles for expressive playing, while Schaller M6-IND locking tuners support dependable tuning. Finished in Butane Blue, the Luke 4 also features a five-bolt sculpted neck joint, adjustable truss rod and Ernie Ball RPS 9 Slinky strings.

Music Man HT pickups in an HSS configuration give the Luke 4 HSS a versatile foundation for everything from clean sounds to powerful leads. The HT single coils provide ultra-high output and a powerful low-end response while retaining clean, clear tone at lower volume levels, with complementary sounds available across the switching positions. At the bridge, the HT humbucker adds ultra-high output, greater dynamic range and excellent touch sensitivity. Its powerful low end is balanced by distinctive clarity and definition when you reduce the volume.
Extra output is readily available through the Luke 4's integrated HT preamp boost circuit. Pressing the push-push volume knob activates the boost, which is factory set to 12 dB for additional punch when you need it. An internal trim pot in the control cavity lets you adjust the preamp up to 20 dB, providing scope for heavier rhythm parts or high-output soloing. Combined with the tone control and five-way pickup selector, this circuit adds another useful dimension to the guitar's tonal versatility.
A premium figured roasted maple neck gives the Luke 4 a carefully specified playing platform, shaped with a soft V profile that comfortably fits in the palm of your hand.
