Complete tonal freedom. Packing 500 Watts RMS power, this amp will emit your basslines at an earth-shattering amplitude. But when it comes to your performance, it’s about a lot more than volume. The Laney Digbeth DB500H Bass Head is packed full of features to enhance your sound. Featuring both a FET & Tube channel, you can change between the two tones at the flick of a switch. These two channels can also be blended - pulling out the tube volume dial lets you season the FET tone with a bit of grit and distortion.
The tonal exploration doesn’t stop there. A 3-band EQ is paired with a Tilt Seesaw EQ, which can be used to create the perfect sound for your performance. Turning the Tilt dial towards the treble clef boosts the higher frequencies, whilst dampening the lower end, giving the tone a cutting edge so you can cut through a live sound. Alternatively, you can use the Tilt EQ to boost the Low frequencies, generating a thick, round tone. All of this can be finely tuned with the designated bass and treble dials, to give either register an extra boost. This is all topped off with a mid-level dial, so you have full control of the mid-range.
Connecting your devices has never been easier than it is with the Laney Digbeth DB500H. In addition to the traditional 1/4-inch input jack, there are a multitude of different connectivity options. An FX loop, located on the back of the head, allows you to add effects in between the pre-amp and the output. So, you can experience delayed distortion, as opposed to distorted delay.
Practice with simplicity and record with ease. A designated XLR-DI output allows you to connect the amplifier to a PA system or recording interface, without needing to mic up the amp. This is partnered with a ground lift switch, removing any unwanted hum in the mix. When it comes to practising, a 3.5mm stereo aux in and 3.5mm phones out, both of which have level controls, let you jam along to your favourite tunes whilst avoiding any noise complaints.
