It says something that Jackson have selected these humbuckers for a guitar born to push boundaries. And they couldn't have made a better choice. The SLAT7P roars with an expansive voice thanks to the PRF-MH8-CB1 in the bridge and the PRD-MH8-AB1 at the neck. Unleash the raw brutality of the bridge AB1 'bucker, it uses ceramic magnets to provide an immolating tone that's full of menace. Switch it to Voice 2 for a passive ceramic sound, and slightly altered attack. The CB1 mounted at the neck position adds even more dynamics to the impressive SLAT7P. Constructed with alnico V magnets it evokes a rounded, fat cadence. It's boosted and articulate and gives you a wider frequency to augment the piercing bridge pickup. Activate Voice 2 on the neck for a thinner humbucker tone. It approaches a single-coil sound yet is still crisp and defined, adding further to the astounding possibilities with this Concept Soloist.

It's the ultimate gamechanger. The multi-scale fretboard of the SLAT7P is a step above the rest – it redefines playability. With slanted, or 'fanned', frets, it naturally fits to the slant of your wrist to ensure maximum comfort when playing. It also adds extra definition to the tone of the low strings, whilst making the treble strings brighter and clearer. The result is unbelievable playability combined with a superbly tight sound. Ebony fretboard ecstasy

It's not only multi-scale for performance, but it also sports one of the most premium tonewoods available. Ebony is responsive, supple and naturally oily for a frictionless feel. Your fingers will skate along this slick surface to make even the most complex solos seem effortless. In addition to its smoothness, Jackson have shaped it into a compound radius so it's more curved at the low frets and flatter at the high end. This makes difficult chords near the headstock a breeze, meanwhile you can execute soaring string bends at the higher registers without fear of fretting out.
