Solid tonewoods for rich, expressive sound
At the heart of the Furch Guitars Blue Gc-CM is its all-solid wood construction, adding to the guitar’s stunning tonal clarity and responsiveness. The top is crafted from AA-grade western red cedar, known for its warmth, subtle overtones, and excellent projection - perfect for fingerstyle and dynamic strumming styles. Paired with AA-grade African mahogany back and sides, the guitar delivers a tonal palette that is rich, woody, and balanced across the entire frequency range. Every note is well pronounced and brimming with natural resonance.
Enhanced resonance with open-pore finish
Furch’s open-pore finish plays a significant role in how the Blue Gc-CM sounds and feels. Instead of using thick layers of lacquer that can restrict the vibration of the tonewoods, this ultra-thin finish leaves the wood pores exposed, allowing for greater tonal transparency and sustain. This not only benefits the overall acoustic performance of the guitar but also provides a smooth, natural feel. The finish also enhances the visual appeal, highlighting the natural grain patterns of the cedar and mahogany for an organic, lively look. Combined with the stylish amber hue of the top and the subtle faux tortoise binding, the open-pore finish elevates the guitar’s aesthetic as well as its sound.
Precision neck design with CNR System® Active
Playability is paramount, and Furch addresses this with their innovative CNR System® Active neck joint. Unlike traditional neck constructions that may warp or shift with seasonal changes, this system integrates a dual-action truss rod enclosed in a rigid carbon casing, supported by a solid wood expansion component. This clever design provides automatic adjustment to maintain optimal string action and minimise the need for time-consuming setups or neck resets. Ideal for home recording, regular practice, or gigging on the road, the neck remains stable and comfortable, with a Soft V profile that fits the hand naturally. It’s a forward-thinking approach to build quality that ensures long-term reliability without compromising feel or tone.
Natural amplified tone with LR Baggs EAS-VTC
The Furch Blue Gc-CM comes stage-ready with the LR Baggs EAS-VTC system, a discreet and reliable pickup that captures the guitar’s full-bodied tone with clarity and nuance. Positioned within the soundhole, the pickup includes easily accessible volume and tone controls, letting you shape your sound without interrupting your performance. With the EAS-VTC pickup, you can achieve a more organic and dynamic response, faithfully tracking the instrument’s acoustic character.
