The new Prophecy Collection Epiphone Futura Custom-EX (Floyd, EMG-81/85) features EMG active pickups and features a highly figured quilt Maple top, 24-fret SpeedTaper satin neck, jumbo frets, unique "blade" inlays and Epiphone's new, patent-applied-for Straplocks, as well as a hand-stained colour and eye-catching Pearl knobs.
Because it's a "Custom", it has a bound body and neck. The new Prophecy Futura Custom-EX takes advantage of all the design work and testing Epiphone have been doing in recent years.

View Full DescriptionThe roots of the Futura date back to the late-50's but there's nothing old about this guitar. Starting with its Mahogany body featuring a highly-figured quilt Maple top and moving on to the neck which is Mahogany and glued in using a long neck joint for excellent sustain and strength. it's equipped with active EMG-81 and 85 pickups, this new Futura is designed to bring out the shredder in all of us.
As with all Prophecy's, it features Epiphone's new SpeedTaper neck with a very slim "D" profile and satin finish for fast performance and smooth feel.
