Virtual Drummer Solid
Always sound your best
A myriad of flexible tonal shaping options are presented to ensure you can find the right sound, regardless of your mix, style or genre. Five distinctive drum kits have been carefully chosen to help deliver the power and punch that contemporary drum production requires. Each of these kits can be mixed and matched using up to four different kit pieces, allowing you to create a hybrid setup, stamping out a sonic signature for your productions. Encompassing a wide range of advanced kit editing, mixing and mastering sections to help further sculpt and shape your tone, Solid is every producer's dream. Easily tweakable FX let you add compression, saturation, ambience and reverb to individual parts of the kit or the entire drum bus for a more global impact on your sound design. For experienced sound designers, and mixing and mastering engineers, Solid offers multi-out capabilities, letting you process your tracks independently using third-party plug-ins and processors to get the exact sound you're after. Conversely, less proficient engineers and producers can take advantage of one of the six onboard mix presets, curated by industry professionals to add extra punch, weight and sheen to your drums with one click.
The gold-standard
Getting the sound right at the source is the key to achieving professional mixes that sound radio-ready. Using a collection of the highest quality drums, recording studio, recording equipment and drummers, Solid delivers a sophisticated sound that's ideal for all popular styles, genres and moods. Only the best in class was used for the recording of this session, using what many would call the 'desert island' drums of choice, capturing each hit with incredible detail and nuance. Ideal for songwriters, musicians or producers, Solid will instantly unlock the sound of professional recordings, helping you to carve a name for yourself in the industry to drive your career forward.
The only substitute for a world-class drummer
Recording and engineering drums come with their own unique set of challenges. The space, noise levels and equipment needed all create difficulties for most musicians without access to a professional recording studio 24 hours a day. Knowing this, the UJAM's Virtual Drummer Solid has been meticulously recorded to provide you with a plethora of different beats and phrases to cover a wide range of commercial genres. Helping you to get your ideas recorded faster than ever, Solid comes with over 1380 patterns and rhythms in 60 unique styles, spanning everything from jazz, blues, pop, indie and much more. Encompassed within the phrases included with UJAM Solid, there are independent sections for common song structures, including intros, verses, choruses, fills and endings to help you quickly identify the right groove to build the foundation of your song.
Frustration-free design
No matter your skillset or production knowledge, Virtual Drummer Solid has been designed to let you get studio-ready results in a matter of minutes. No deep menu diving, complicated non-musical terms or clustered interfaces, just a simple layout that offers easy tweaking to get the sound you want fast.
Providing you with only a few key controls, you are awarded the flexibility to customise the performance of your Virtual Drummer to get realistic results quickly. Huminsation controls are presented as micro timing parameters, including Feel and Humanize, injecting the signature 'push and pull' of a live drummer performing in front of you. Employing an intuitive drag-and-drop system, you can import phrases from your Virtual Solid Drummer into your DAW to edit individual notes to customise the performance to the exact needs of your project.
Virtual Guitarist Amber
The quintessential sound of guitar
Instantly recognisable and arguably the most used instrument in recorded music history, the acoustic guitar holds a special place for many musicians. Often their first instrument and the one that starts your musical journey. Nothing quite feels or sounds the same as a beautifully strummed acoustic guitar. For this reason, UJAM sought to find the perfect example of an acoustic guitar to use for Amber. Resulting in the use of a boutique, hand-made vintage American dreadnaught-style guitar paired with a legendary German-made vintage large-diaphragm condenser microphone for recording. This combination came from rigorous testing of dozens of combinations to find the right sound. Throughout a wide range of over 50 different styles and 600 phrases, Amber offers the flexibility to cater to any style of acoustic strumming piece.
The digital reality
Getting the right sound from an acoustic instrument starts in the room. It's a combination of the instrument and microphone that are used to capture the nuance of the sound. When brought into the studio, this sound can only serve to be enhanced by digital effects and processes. With Amber, UJAM provides you with a huge range of tonal control to fit the context of any mix with ease. From adjusting the physical components of the performance to the timbre of the instrument, Amber can do it all.
Dial in the hand strumming position of the performance using the Position dial, dynamically morphing between neck and bridge to alter the response. When a position has been found, using the five-way Tone selector, you can change the timbre of the instrument, from full-bodied and warm to crisp and articulate. Two sources have been captured for Amber, both a microphone and pickup have been recorded simultaneously and are available to mix and match using the Source selector.
Aside from the characteristics of the performance, Amber comes with a wide range of processing to take your production to the next level. A proprietary Shimmer control adds a smooth top end while cutting midrange to cut through dense mixes with a glassy sound. Other onboard effects give space, width and depth to your sound such as the delay, chorus, reverb and doubling controls.

The only substitute for a world-class musician

Of course, the instrument can only shine when the performer does the talking. Played by a decorated professional, Royal ascends to the top of the class with its prestigious, smooth and noble sound. Captured using proprietary recording techniques through a myriad of amplifiers and effects, Royal highlights unprecedented realism, authenticity and intricacy in the world of virtual bass instruments.
The sound of professionalism
Studio recording can be a challenging beast. Achieving the level of consistency needed by veteran performers takes decades of trial and error, routine practice and dedication. Now, getting radio-ready bass tones has never been this easy. The combination of creative flexibility with ease of use makes Royal the obvious answer for producers, musicians and non-bassist when only the most sophisticated, articulate and smooth sounds will suffice. Presented with nine different parameters for tonal shaping, Royal can be catered to suit any style of mix or vibe.
Control the fundamentals of your bass sound with the seamless pickup slider, morphing between neck and bridge pickups. Automating between the two provides an elegant option when performing on different ranges on the fretboard. For a more rounded tone when playing higher up on solos and melodies, stay focused on the neck pickup and then switch to a midrange, punchy sound for biting lower single note plucks with the bridge pickup. Several amplifier types are included alongside a direct mode for producers working with preferred virtual amplifier plug-ins or effects. Rock, Soul and Pop all contribute to the tonality of your sound, traversing anything from smaller amplifiers with a more rounded tone for Soul to a more grinding, larger-than-life sound for Rock. Regardless of the amplifier type chosen, the proprietary Drive circuit adds crunching harmonics and bite to your sound, sending any amp model into overdrive and saturation.
Four adjustable character parameters range from Soft to Hard, allowing you to change the dynamic range and timbre of the performance with your bass lines. Sculpting the sound of your bass, the Character control pairs with your amplifier settings, offering a tremendous range of sounds for your projects. Outside of the realm of character shaping, several studio-classic effects such as Compressor and EQ are offered to carve a sonic space whilst adding consistency and punch to cut through virtually any mix.
Creative controls are offered with the Octave dial, Drop-D switch and Finisher controls. Taking your sound from the subtle to the extreme, the 15 onboard Finisher includes several tried and true processes for the bass guitar including rotary effects, chorus, phaser, and room reverb alongside heavy compression and distortion effects.
Play your way
The foundation of your tracks, the bass occupies a special purpose within production, blending melody with rhythm like no other instrument. It's a key part in creating a sound that connects with people, encouraging them to dance and feel moved by the music. For this reason, Royal offers two modes of operation including Player Mode and Instrument Mode.
Player Mode gives you access to the 1380 phrases spanning 60 different styles to ensure that you never run out of ideas for your songwriting. Divided into common songwriting sections such as intros, fills and verses, you can hone in on a specific part to fill the gap in your production. The smart technology behind the Virtual Bassist series means that not only will ROYAL automatically follow the key and chord you play, but it will also intelligently select the most musical bass articulations available to support your tracks.
For experienced performers, Instrument mode lets you experiment with the full offering inside of Royal. Unlock every note and technique included with the meticulously sampled instrument via your MIDI controller or keyboard. Expressive control is afforded with the inclusion of muted notes, slides and stop techniques which can be accessed via the key switches and modulation/pitch wheel bending.
