What makes this pedal unique to the rest is the three distinct flange modes. These include classic, bi, and quad. The two audio signals work at different speeds to create a stunning swooshing effect, which really enhances your instrument’s voicing. The classic flange has thru-zero capabilities to pull you in and out of space, the bi-flange has a pair of modulating delay lines that create even more sweeping movements, and finally, the quad-flange has independent delay lines that produces beautiful textures. These modes have their own individual degrade modes, which introduce a lo-fi element that allows for powerful overtones.
The Oblivion has been packed with tons of flexibility, which allows for fine tuning. It has been designed with six knobs and six switches that you can adjust in order to find the perfect voicing for your performance. With these, you can alter the speed, width, and feedback of the flanger, along with the overall tone that your pedal produces. For example, with the blend knob, you are able to change your wet and dry mix to find the perfect balance. Create a polite chorus sound or a whirlpool of flange. Thanks to the footswitch, you can turn your effects on/off and use tap tempo while performing. This offers a hands-free experience, which allows for a smooth operation due to being able to change your instrument’s voicing while you continue to play.
